So as the year is coming to a close I want to sum it up in one post. Mainly because i want to be able to look back at it in the future and know how it felt and know what happened to me in 2014. All of the ups and all of the downs. The reason I want to do it for this year in particular is because it was the year I had the most fun with my friends, the year I gained people, lost people, had literal emotional breakdowns over things that don't matter anymore and ended a huge chapter of my life. So without further ado here is my 2014 story.

In January I began celebrating my friends becoming adults. To some of you that may not mean much but to me it does. The people I friends with are people i have known for at least 5 years or more and that's why it means so much. I have seen these people grow and develop from the little 12 and 13 year old kids that began high school together to actual grown adults who have legitimate responsibility.
I went to my first ever music festival with my sister and some of m best friends. We saw people like Bluejuice, The 1975, 360, Flume and SnoopDogg perform. It was an amazing weekend away and I will never forget the memories we made with one another. Going to the beach, going to the city and surprising the baby of our second family for her 17th birthday.
A group of friends and I went into our school during the summer break and helped our careers adviser paint his office for two days. It was fun and I had paint in my hair for days afterwards but nonetheless it was great to have the entire school to ourselves with people that we enjoy spending time with and eating pizza and drinking frozen cokes in the hallways.

February began the end to our schooling journey. Every year the year 12's of our school dress up for the schools sporting events whether that is the swimming carnival or the athletics carnival. In February we had our annual swimming carnival and my grade dressed as hippies. I don't entirely know why we did but it was extremely fun to take photos and create memories that will last with people that we may never see again.
February also meant celebrating my first valentines day with an actual valentine which was very exciting. It was eventful too. We went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner and it was wonderful. But as we left it was raining and by raining i don't mean just a sprinkle i mean like a torrential down pour. But we still walked to go and get dessert in the rain. Valentines teddy in one hand and boy in the other. It was perfect. We walked past a restaurant the has the option to dine outside and everyone that we walked past thought that it was the cutest thing. This 14th of Feb also was the day that I had my first kiss in the rain and it was actual really lovely.

To be completely honest March and April were not eventful months at all but nonetheless they were made great by the people I was surrounded by. I celebrated the 18th birthday of one of my good friends and at the time none of us knew that not long after that night we would be losing him to something he had no control over. I honestly will never ever forget the sound of some of the greatest people singing Wonderwall by Oasis together on that cold April evening. There was something so magical about it. It is indescribable.
In terms of education achievements I did complete the biggest assignment I have ever had to do in my life for my community and family studies class. Mine was focused around the was gender stereotypes influence people in society. If you want to know more about it just let me know in the comments below.

May saw the first road trip I took with my love. We drove down to a little festival that TripleJ were holding called One Night Stand. It was a really wonderful weekend with some really great friends. It was such a good concert and I saw a lot of artists that I have never even heard of. I actually had so much fun!

Sadly not much happened in June of 2014.

July was by far the hardest month of this year. A lot of good things happened but one extremely bad thing shocked me to the core. We will start with the good though.
Bae turned 18 in July and it was wonderful. There is something about being really close to someone and being able to watch them grow not only physically but emotionally and mentally. Between him turning 17 and 18 a lot of things happened for him and I was so glad i got to see them all unfold.
I went on an extraordinary excursion to Sydney with my legal studies class. There is something so great about spending time with people that you genuinely enjoy and luckily for me I not only loved my classmates but i also loved our teacher and we were truly a little family.
And now for the worst bit of my year. As I have already mentioned in previous posts i lost someone who meant a lot to me. Someone who not only knew me but also my family. He was a great guy and he should not have been taken away from us so soon. All I am going to say about it is that my heart was broken and still is extremely broken following his death. I will never forget him and I will never forget the way I felt after losing him and the pain I saw in so many peoples faces including his own family.

I celebrated a whole year with my love at the end of August and it was amazing. I learned just how much I appreciate him and am so happy that it has been a whole year.
We had our schools annual athletics carnival and that again was themed. However, the theme was changed last minute so that we could dedicate it to Callum. We changed the theme from movie characters to Sydney Swans wear which is just red and white. We also collected money for the Muscular Distrophy foundation and it was a wonderful day.

September was a good month. September was the month that our school days actually ended (well, going to class anyway). I had the best final week anyone could ask for. We dressed up, played pranks on teachers and potentially said our final goodbyes to teachers and students alike. We got into mischief but we also made some great memories like running away from deputy principals for decorating peoples cars with streamers and balloons. I had a whole lot of fun dressing as a student from our opposition high school, a tradesman and sully from MonstersInc. I ended my school days with people I truly love. I ended it with my oldest friend that i have know since i was about 3. We went through preschool, primary school and high school together. She is a part of my family. We may not have been all that close but it is a great feeling to have had someone be there for 15 years of your life. In September that girl turned 18 and that was also great. I love her to bits!

This was the month that studying actually became my life. After graduating it became my life to study all day everyday for my HSC exams. Six exams, 15.5 hours and two and a half weeks. it was all over and my results relied upon how well I did in that 15.5 hours. The stress of this time was so insane! I had all of my favorites surrounding me though which made it all the more bearable.

My birth month was crazy insane! So much happened in those 30 days. I got a 60 hour a week full time job, I turned 18 and had my school formal. I know that doesn't sound like much happened but all of the preparation that went into it took up so much time. Although i would not have it any other way.

At work I have met some amazing people and become closer to one of my good friends, made new friends and discovered that even if you don't like someone at work you have to suck it up and keep on keeping on.

Formal was wonderful, all of the stress and arguments between our grade that went into it paid off in the end because it was a great night filled with memories that will last.

This month was not as hectic as the rest of my year it sort of resembled June to be honest because not much has happened. I worked everyday and didn't really get to see a lot of people that i would have liked to but Christmas was great and i had a lot of fun..

All in all 2014 was an eventful year that i will never forget. It provided me with many smiles and many tears but in all honesty i would not have wanted it any other way. I grew as a person and learned to deal with things that are out of my control.
